The stars of south india Kamal Hassan, Dhanush and Aiswarya, Prabhu, Ajith and Shalini, Sarathkumar and Radhika, Satyaraj, Manorama , Ilayaraja, daya nidhi maran attended their marriage and blessed them.

After the wedding, she announced her decision to stop acting. However she continues to do ad films and few work for the TV. She delivered a girl baby (Diya) on August 10, 2007 at 9:30 p.m.,at Apollo Hospital, Chennai with a star sign of punartha.

In a recent poll conducted by a popular magazine in Chennai, she has been named in top 5 all time tamil actresses.
