Big B Receive French Civilian Awardthe French embassy will honour legendry hindi film actor Amitabh Bachchan on 27/1/2007 with the Legion d'Hnneur , Frence's highest civilian Award . for his contribution to india and international cultural life .
French Ambassador Dominique Girardwill confer the award to Bachchan at special function at the wmbassy. Apparently. entire Bachchan clan is expected to grace the occasion.
Among the eminent indian personalitys to have received the honour sre Oscr Winning filammaker Satyajit Ray in 1987, sistar maestro Ravi Shankar 2000 and environmentalist R K Pachauri in 2006.
